My name is Holly and I am a pet parent to two fabulous dogs, Jazzy &Max!

Jazz is our 8 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, who we adopted a little over 5 years ago. I know a lot of pet parents say this, but she really is one of the best dogs ever. She is super smart, easy going, well trained, and eager to please. And of course she is super pretty, and she is my baby.

Max is our newest family member, we adopted him just a few months ago (back in Feb. 2010).  We believe he is a Yorkie/Dachshund Mix.

A little about myself... I have been an animal lover since the day I was born! My first word was dog, and my second was horse (needless to say my mom was a little bummed). I grew up taking in every animal around, and was blessed enough to have an aunt and uncle that took me in every summer so I could play and work on their farm/ranch. When I was only 8 years old my aunt handed me a bridle and said if I wanted to learn to ride I would have to go and catch my own horse, so I did, without any fear. And I have been riding every since.

I am also a trained Vet Technician. I went to school at Florida Animal Arts Institute, and went on to work for a local Vet in the Orlando area for awhile. I also have my B.S. in Business Admin with an emphasis in MIS, and my Masters in Health Admin (yes, I am a jack of all trades).

Max

Currently, I am a stay at home mom of three & my two dogs. I have been married to my husband for 10 wonderful, crazy years. And I write another blog called Couponing For Beginners, where I offer practical advise on how to use coupons effectively and efficiently. I also assist a local horse rescue (TLC Horse Rescue) on occassions, which you are more than welcome to visit their website, TLCHorseRescue.com.

I have started this blog to help others out to save money on the care of their beloved furry family members. I also hope to provide advise on other areas of pet care (such as health & training).
